Internship

The OECD Internship Programme offers university students the opportunity to gain practical experience within the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development while contributing to research, policy analysis, data work, drafting, communications and other activities carried out by OECD directorates and services. The programme is designed for students enrolled in a full-time Bachelor’s, Master’s or PhD degree programme at an accredited university who will remain enrolled throughout the entire internship period. The applicant’s field of study must be related to the work of the OECD. Internships are recruited on an ongoing basis throughout the year rather than through one annual application deadline. Applicants are generally advised to apply approximately two to three months before their intended starting date and should clearly indicate their earliest availability and the period for which they can participate. Most OECD internships are based in Paris, France. Depending on the individual vacancy and the agreement of the hiring team, some internships may be offered remotely or in a hybrid arrangement. Internships normally last between one and six months and may be renewable up to a total of twelve months. Full-time internships normally involve 40 hours per week, while exceptional part-time arrangements may be possible. Interns located in Paris receive a contribution to living expenses of approximately €1,000 for each full month worked. This contribution should not be interpreted as a fully funded scholarship covering tuition, travel, accommodation and all personal expenses. The OECD recruits interns across a wide range of policy and organisational areas, including economics, education, climate change, environment, development, digital policy, finance and investment, governance, health, taxation, trade, science and technology, agriculture, employment, regional development, communications and corporate functions.
